Forrestfield man charged with historic child sex abuse offences met child online before alleged sexual assault

Police have charged a 50-year-old man with serious child sex charges after he allegedly met a teenage boy through a website and later sexually assaulted him.

Child abuse squad detectives will allege that in late 2010 or early 2011 the man, who was 41-years-old, sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy.

The man allegedly met the victim through a website and arranged for him to come to his home.

On Wednesday detectives executed a search warrant at the man’s Forrestfield home where he was arrested.

The 50-year-old man has been charged with two counts of sexually penetrating a child over 13 and under 16.

He is due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court on July 31.
