Man exposes himself to teenage girls along Kororoit Creek Trail in Sunshine

Police are hunting a man accused of exposing himself to two teenage girls and a jogger along a walking track in Melbourne’s west.

Police say it’s one of two disgusting incidents of a man observed inappropriately touching himself near the Kororoit Creek Trail in Sunshine West.

Both incidents occurred along the trail between Wright St and Derby Rd and are now being investigated by Brimbank Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives.

During the first incident, a police spokeswoman said two 17-year-old girls were out walking when they saw a man lying naked in the grass masturbating about 3.20pm on September 11.

She said the man then followed the girls as they walked away towards Derby Rd where they lost sight of him.

In the second incident, police said a cyclist observed a man masturbating while following behind a woman jogging along the trail about 1.40pm on September 21.

The spokeswoman said the cyclist was about to alert the 31-year-old woman to what was happening behind her when the offender ran off along Wright St.

The man has been described as Asian in appearance, about 165cm tall with black hair in a short military style cut.

He was wearing black shorts, a blue top and a grey jacket.

The police spokeswoman said detectives believed it was likely the man had targeted other women or teenage girls in the area and have urged other victims to contact police.

Any witnesses or anyone with information have been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
