A NSW man has been charged with assaulting three infants, including a set of twins, who suffered extensive injuries including broken bones and head trauma.
Authorities were alerted in March this year when a two-month-old baby boy was rushed to a Riverina hospital unconscious suffering significant head trauma, broken legs and facial bruising.
Police inquiries revealed that in the same month, his twin brother was also taken to hospital after also losing consciousness.
A 24-year-old man was arrested at a business in the Riverina just after 1 pm yesterday after an investigation by the NSW Crime Command's Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad.
In a previous incident in May 2013, a 15-month-old boy had been taken to hospital with facial bruising and bleeding.
The man is known to the three children.

Police will allege in court the man assaulted the twins on separate occasions in March 2019 after having previously assaulted the 15-month-old in 2013.
He has been refused police bail and will appear at Griffith Local Court today.
The three children, now aged 6 years and 10 months, are all in the care of family.
