Paul Schluter - Tasmania Team Leader

Paul Schluter - Child Protection Party Team Leader Tasmania
Paul is the Child Protection Party's Team Leader in Tasmania. He comes from a political family.

A major hope of Paul's is to establish a Tasmanian branch of the Child Protection Party. In order to do this, he must gain at least 100 members who are all enrolled to vote

It wasn't until he encountered our Child Safety Services in Tasmania that he ever thought about children's rights.
This led him to the United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) of which he is a strong and vocal advocate for the implementation of the UNCRC in Australia.

The UNCRC has been agreed by all governments around the world except for the glaring exception of the USA. The USA only agrees to treaties if there is a 2/3 majority and a number of Republican senators have resisted. The UNCRC is really important as it promises rights that all children have. Most governments don't contain the UNCRC in their laws and you can't take someone to court if they're not supporting all a child's rights.

In Tasmania the Child Safety Services website says it strongly supports the UNCRC. In many cases this is simply not the case.
