Information CollectedThe information you provide is used for Party membership purposes. The Party is required by state and federal legislation to collect the following personal information: • Full name and residential address as it appears on the electoral roll, and• Date of birth, and• Date of joining the Party, and• Email address, and• Contact telephone number(s). Additionally, the Party collects the following information: • Silent Voter. If you are enrolled as a Silent voter (a person whose enrolment has been hidden from the public, usually for safety reasons), access to your contact information is restricted to the Party’s President, Vice President, Secretary and Membership Secretary.• Membership of another political party. Legislation allows a citizen to be a member of multiple political parties. However, only one party may use a member’s details for party registration with an electoral commission.• Active role in the Party. If you indicate interest in an active role in the Party, that interest is passed to the Party leadership for action. A team member, normally the Secretary, will call you How the Information is Used We use the information that we collect for Party registration with an electoral commission and for our newsletter mailing list. Sharing of Information We do not sell or give away your personal information to third parties.We may share your personal information with third parties only when• you give us express written permission to do so, or• the information is provided to comply with the law, enforce our Terms and Conditions, or protect the rights, property, or safety of the Site, its users, or others. Access to Information If you wish to know what personal details we have on record for you or should you change your name or address or both, please email the Membership Secretary. If you do change your address, it is vital that you advise the Party of your new address since failure to do so could affect our registration in your state or territory. Changes to the Privacy Policy The Party reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after the posting of any changes will constitute your acceptance of the changes.
