Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to some of your most common questions about the Child Protection Party.
MembershipPaymentGeneral
The Number 1 Question We Get Asked!
Are you part of the Child protection Department?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! We never have been and we never will be. We do not receive any funding from any child protection department. Nor do we take instructions from any department or department official. One of our many aims is to hold child protection departments in every state and territory accountable for their actions.
📦 Membership
Who can join?
Any Australian citizen or permanent resident over the age of 18. Ideally, we need citizens because a political party cannot use non-citizens to register in any state or territory in the Commonwealth.
How do i join?
Click the JOIN button in the menu. You will be prompted to pay your membership fee and then redirected to a page that will collect personal information required by federal and state legislation
is my information safe?
Absolutely! Your personal information is stored on highly secured servers. Except when required by legislation or court order, we will NEVER release your information to anyone. Take a minute to read our Privacy Policy.
Can I leave the party?
You certainly can. Send an email to the Membership Secretary advising that you wish to leave the Party. You can also use the Contact Us form to advise that you want to cancel your membership.
How much is membership?
$20 per year. Your membership will be automatically renewed on the anniversary of your joining the Party. If you cancel your membership, the subscription will be cancelled.
can i join the team?
We'd love to have you join our team because we need people in every state and territory to help grow the Party. If you're interested, email the Secretary or use the Contact Us form to express your interest.
Are there different types of membership?
Currently, we only have 1 type of membership. We are investigating how we can introduce concessionary membership fees for juveniles aged 16-18 and Centrelink Concession Card holders.
What's in it for me?
That is entirely up to you. All members have the right to contribute to policy formation, nominate for a position on a state or territory committee, nominate for candidacy in your state or territory elections, attend Party fundraising and other events, meet with Party leader and the personal satisfaction that you are working to help Australia's children.
🛍 Payment
How do I pay?
You can pay using a debit or credit card or using PayPal. Debit and credit card payments are processed using Stripe, a highly secure payment platform.
Can I pay by instalments?
Currently, we do not offer a payment by installments. We are investigating how we can introduce this feature.
Will i get a receipt?
Whether you make a payment by debit card, credit card or PayPal, a receipt will automatically be emailed to you. You should retain that receipt because political party membership fees are tax deductible..
can i get a refund?
Unless you change your mind immediately or very shortly after joining, normally not.
💸 General
How do i comment on policies?
Simply click the Policy link in the menu and select the policy you want to read.
where Can i read your policies?
At the bottom of each policy page is a section where you can add your comments. You can comment on our social media pages but commenting on the website is our preferred method since it makes it easier for the Party to find your comments.
Can i suggest a policy?
Absolutely you can. Use the Suggest a Policy option in the Contact Us form. In the Message area of the form and don't forget to describe the purpose of policy.
